Ron Hanji Takes Gold in BC!

By Joshua Hagen

Ron Hanji had a great weekend in British Columbia taking a gold medal at the Pacific International Judo Tournament.  The Pacific International is the toughest tournament in Western Canada, with competitors from Quebec, Alberta, B.C., Washington and Japan.  He won the final in spectacular fashion, defeating his opponent in 15 seconds.  At only 16 years of age he wasn't done there.  He also took 7th place in the Sr. division.  Hanji has a very strong chance of taking a medal at the upcoming National Championships this May in Calgary, Alberta.
